To unleash its vision of Competency Building and Continuous Professional Development, HR Club of Goa Multi Faculty College organized a 2hrs Leadership Workshop on 15th August 2015 from 9.30 to 11.30 am in the college premises for FYBBA & TYBBA HR students.
The Club invited Mr. Ravi Shirsat, Certified International Trainer and Owner of Amon – Ra Training Solutions as a Resource person to address the students on various themes associated with Leadership. His experience of 18yrs in the field of training was clearly evident during the course of his interactions with the students. He simplified the complex concept of leadership by conveying his inputs through games and activities rather than pure lecturing.
As rightly said, First Impression is the Last Impression; in the beginning itself he gained the confidence of students and managed to create lasting impression by starting off with an impressive icebreaker activity. He skilfully explained them what is leadership, qualities of good leader, leadership styles by adopting facilitator’s role.
In addition to aforesaid aspects of leadership, the workshop compelled students to brainstorm on how we can develop leadership skills and create an impact. Meaningful points concerning leadership like positive attitude, communication and teamwork were demonstrated by means Tug of War Activity and motivational poems and songs.
Dr. Manasvi Kamat, Principal appreciated the students and Resource person. It was indeed a power packed workshop with a perfect blend of learning as well as fun; wherein every story, every game, every activity had some underlying message to connote. Workshop was an enlightening and enriching experience for students and all enjoyed it to the core. Program ended with Vote of Thanks by Ms. Sonam Gondlekar, Convener of HR Club.
