BACHELOR OF COMMERCE (B.Com)
The degree is designed to provide the student with a wide range of managerial skills while at the same time building competence in a particular area. The students are exposed to general business principles, and required accounting, economic and quantitative skills.
Objective:
- To provide broad based knowledge of Commerce, Trade and Industry with an objective to enable the Pass-outs get employed and to develop entrepreneurship.
- To inculcate responsibilities and self discipline in the learning process.
- To make students evaluation more objective and continues.
Requirements: B.COM. degree is awarded by Goa University consideration the pass results at Sem. V & Sem. VI only. If he/she passes I to IV Sem. then only the student is eligible to be admitted to Sem. V and VI. The Examination I to IV Semester will be conducted by the affiliated college and the results of the same are declared by affiliated colleges.
No. of Semesters: The B.COM. is a Three years integrated course. There are two Semesters in each of the F.Y., S.Y. and T.Y. And each of the Semesters a student has to answer 2 ISA of 20 Marks in each of the Semester.
Dissertation: Project work is compulsory. It is of 100 marks. It is introduced in Semester V and completed in Semester VI. Evaluation of project is internal 50 marks and External evaluation of 50 marks.
