Goa Multi-Faculty College incessantly strives to create congenial learning environment not only for its students but also for its Faculty members. As a part of this initiative, college organized a program on “Working Well Without Stress” for its Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff members on 22nd February 2016 from 10.00 to 12.00 pm. Program was organized with intent to give staff members a break from their routine work and guide them on how to live a happy, peaceful and stress free life.
This 2hrs session on Working well without Stress was facilitated by Dr. Prashant Kakode, a Surgeon by profession. Mr. Kaustubh Kamat, Sister Veronica and Sister Cheryl from Prajapati Brahmakumaris Vishwa Vidyalaya were also present on the occasion. Program began with a welcome address by Principal Dr. Manasvi Kamat wherein she appreciated the Brahma Kumaris Institute for their willingness to deliver the Session and getting best of best faculties to Goa Multi-Faculty College. Dr. Kakode mainly focussed on science of happiness and offered valuable tips on how we can lead a happy life. Distinguishing between short term and long term happiness, he urged everyone to pursue long term happiness and not to run after short moment pleasures. Outlining the varied factors which make people happy, he asserted that be a giver and see how much happiness you will derive from the act of giving.
Towards the end, Sister Veronica and Sister Cheryl also expressed their views on happiness and particularly emphasized on how as teachers we are moulders of student’s lives and it’s our prime responsibility to inculcate the right values in them.
It was indeed a power packed program and was well received by all the staff members. Brahma Kumaris Team was appreciated by Principal for their enlightening session. Program ended with Vote of Thanks by Mr. Kaustubh Kamat.
