BCA department of Goa Multi-Faculty College, Organized a talk for all the BCA students by Mr. Patterson Fernandes, Assistant Professor, Department of Journalism, St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa.
He covered various topics like :
- Introduction to the Concept of Blogging
- Content Writing
- SEO
- Google Adsense and Google Adwords
- Affiliate Marketing
- WordPress v/s Blogspot
He was assisted by two of his present students Ms. Ardra Naik and Mr. Kuldeep Asgaonkar who are writing blogs as a part of their semester assesment. They shared their practical exposure and interests in blogging. Miss Naik is writing a blog on Redefining the climax of popular books whereas Mr. Asgaonkar is writing a cricket blog in Marathi. They have begun attracting advertisements on their blogs, however they are yet to earn from the same.
Prof. Fernandes also shared his blogging experience and affiliate marketing concept that he has adopted for his additional income.
The duration of the talk was one hour followed by a Question & Answer Session where the resource person interacted with the students and solved their queries. It was a very interactive and resourceful session.
