On 19th & 20th August 2016, BBA students of Goa Multi-Faculty College participated in Two Days State Level Finance Event organized by Damodar College, Margao. A Team of 10 students of GMFC were groomed by Mr. Eknath Shirodkar for this program and were accompanied for the event by Mr. Prakash Yamanappa.
Event started with the inaugural by lightning the lamp at the hands of distinguished dignitaries. Principal Dr Pritha Mallya in her Welcome Address shared some inspirational quotes on leadership with the participants.
The First Event was Skill and Start Up, Icebreaker activity wherein the entire team had to participate. Students of GMFC bagged First Place for this event. Second event was Best Manager Contest wherein Mr. Tanmay Malkarnekar from TYBBA participated and qualified till the Finals. For the next event that is Treasure Hunt, Ms. Cynifa Fernandes, Mr. Manoj Gaonkar, Mr. Salim Shaikh and Ms. Samiksha Sawal represented our college. For the event Ad Mad, Mr. Tukaram Ghadi and Ms. Purvi showcased their creative acting skills on stage. Mr. Nikhil angaonkar, Mr. Artish Naik and Mr. Sumedh were a part of Stock Wars for which college won Consolation Prize and last one was Financial Runway wherein Manoj, Salim, Purvi, Samiksha, Tukaram, Nikhil, Artish sporting different attires revealing financial concepts managed to impress the audience.
Overall, students got a good exposure and acquired confidence to face such events. Overall GMFC Team ended up becoming 2nd Runners Up and bagged two individual prizes. Money Matters Team was guided by Mr. Eknath Shirodkar, Asst Professor in Business Administration.
