NSS Unit of GMFC had successfully organised a talk on Saturday, 13thMarch 2016 on ‘Consumer Protection Act’ under a banner of GMFC NSS Unit for BCOM, BCANSS volunteers byMr Ronald Martin, Co-coordinator of the Goa Civic and Consumer Action Network (GOACAN) and member of the Goa State Consumer Protection Council and the Consumer Conciliation Committee of the Department of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Government of Goa.
Mr Ronald Martin,in his speech stressed on consumer act,listed out various consumer rights such as Right to Safety,Right to be Informed,Right to Choose,Right to be Heard,Right to seek Redressed and Right to Consumer Education with certain example. He noted how consumers are being cheated and point out various reliefs available as a justice to consumer, intimating us to fight for justice by enforcing the Consumer Protection Act resolved on 1986.He also listed some complaint number of various grievance cell. NSS volunteer from BCA Ms.Rekha Paranjhape delivered Vote of Thanks.
