BCA department of Goa Multi-Faculty College had organized a guest lecture on “ Web design Issues and Server Side Scripting” for the second and third year students of the BCA department on 16th August, 2016.The lecture was guided by, Mr.Venkatesh Prabhu, Proprietor of ThyWay Creations, Mapusa-Goa, a company providing media and technology related solutions. Besides, he has also worked as a visiting faculty for Goa Institute of Management and Goa University and has delivered talks as well as conducted workshops on design and technology related topics in colleges across Goa.
Ms. Nilaxi Chari was the compere for the function. Dr. Manasvi Kamat, Principal of the College,welcomed the guest and addressed the gathering. Ms. Siddhi Bhandankar introduced the guest to the audience.
Mr. Prabhu initiated his lecture session with basics of web and his emphasis was more on various aspects to consider in designing a good website. The session was made interactive by thought provoking questions posed by Mr.Venkatesh Prabhu to the student audience. It was an enlightening session as he shared the real life experiences and told the students the importance of considering various design issues while designing a website. He concluded the session by conducting some server side scripting and highlighting the do’s and don’ts to take into consideration. The lecture was proven to be very inspiring and informative for the students. The session was concluded by a vote of thanks given by Mr. Sameer Patil.
