On Saturday, 29th June 2019, the BCA Department of S.S.P.E.S’s Goa Multi-Faculty College, Dharbandora, Goa, organized a Freshers’ Party for its new batch of FYBCA students. The Principal, Dr. Shaikh Mohammad Parvez Al- Usmani, kick-started the celebration by welcoming the freshers, and expressing his happiness that the students had chosen GMFC as the place to spend the next three years of their life in. He advised the students to excel in the activities they participated in and also in academics. Further, he stated that they should make use of the facilities and platforms provided to them for their overall growth.
The senior students worked hard to create a stunning venue with balloons, ribbons and other props. They organized an ice breaking session where all first year students introduced themselves. This was followed by multiple games and spot prizes. The Mister Fresher & Miss Fresher Competition was held consisting of three rounds: Ramp Walk, Creative Talent Show and ‘Q &A’. Towards the end of the celebration, Dattaraj Velgekar was crowned Mr. Fresher and Manjiri Malik was named Miss Fresher.
The senior students had also arranged welcome gifts for all the newcomers which were distributed at the end of the celebrations.
