BCA department of Goa Multi-Faculty College, organized a talk for Second year and Third year BCA students by Mr. Alvyn Abranches, M.Sc. Data Science and Big Data Analytics, MIT World Peace University, Pune.
He covered various topics related to the Concept of Data Science. He spoke about supervised and unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning.
He then highlighted the importance of python as a tool for data analytics and data science. He told that anything can be done using python because of its vast libraries and platform independency.
He demonstrated linear regression, evaluation metrics and its functions’.
He showed how to perform logistic regression with python.
He discussed two algorithms using python for data analytics.
The duration of the talk was one hour followed by a Question & Answer Session where the resource person interacted with the students and solved their queries. It was a very interactive and resourceful session.
