WEBINAR ON INVESTOR AWARENESS BY NSE
Goa Multi-Faculty College in association with the National Stock Exchange, Mumbai has organized a webinar on Investor Awareness exclusively for the staff members of Goa Multi-Faculty College under the banner of HR Club and Welfare & Extension Cell of the college. The webinar was conducted on 24th June, 2020 at 11.30 Am Sharp and the platform of the webinar
was Zoom App.
Mr. Subasish Mohanty (Asst. Prof. in Commerce) coordinated the event and managed all the included affairs from the college side, where Ms. Ayesha Saprin (based from Mangaluru) was the coordinator from the NSE side who facilitated the program and was instrumental in the logistical and resource support. The webinar was fixed after a long round of discussion with the
NSE authorities which stretched a month long wait. All the staff members including both Teaching and Non-teaching staffs attended the webinar. A
couple of students were also included as special invitees for their extended request to attend the same. A total of 45 members attended the session despite of having challenges of internet connectivity in the region (Jio Server Issue) and got benefitted from the session. Mr. Sanjeev Kumar was the resource person for the webinar as empanelled by the National
Stock Exchange and took the session nearly for two hours. The session covered various aspects of Financial Planning including the structure of Indian Financial Market and various financial instruments available. He also suggested the right mix of various financial instruments as per the
financial goal an individual has for achieving financial independence. The session was well planned and it covered all relevant aspects related to financial literacy and planning.
The coordinator of the event (Mr. Mohanty) personally would like to thank the Principal, Dr. Shaikh Mohammad Parvez Al-Usmani for his extended help and support for the smooth conduct of the session throughout. The head was also an active participant of the webinar and shared his valuable inputs during the session. The HR Club and the Welfare & Extension Cell of
the college would like to express the gratitude to the principal for his consistent motivation and support in conducting such events for the college.
The entire staff group of Goa Multi-Faculty College would like to extend their thanks to the NSE Coordinator Ms. Ayesha Saprin for taking pain in arranging the resources from NSE side to make the program possible in coordination with Mr. Subasish Mohanty and Mr. Sanjeev Kumar for acting as a resource person for the session which benefitted the entire staff
community of the college.
