BCA department organized a guest lecture on the topic “Entrepreneurship & Current IT Scenario in Goa” in college premises on 11th January 2016 from 3.45 p.m. to 5.50 p.m. in college premises. Mr. Jervis Pareira, Director of Goa IT and Innovation Centre (GITIC), was the guest for the day. Principal, Dr Manasvi Kamat welcomed the guest by giving flowers and addressed the gathering.
Mr. Jervis Pareira gave insight of popular Goan IT companies and told how these companies are innovating and contributing technology to World’s IT Sector. He told students that skills play a very important role in one’s career. He focused on the things which companies look for while interviewing the candidates. The Session was very interactive wherein he involved students to get their inputs and queries they have regarding career after graduation. He spoke regarding how to make business out of anything, even if it sounds silly.
Students and Staff enjoyed the session and Mr. Jervis appreciated students’ response for the session. This interactive session was an enriching experience for both the students and the staff. The program was successfully handled by Mr. Jervis Pareira, the staff members and the students. Event was hosted by Ms. Nilaxi Chari. The guest was introduced by Mr. Sameer Patil and Head of BCA Department, Mr. Jebaraj presented a vote-of-thanks.
