BCA department of Goa Multi-Faculty College had organized a guest lecture on “ Education and Entrepreneurship” for the first, second and third year students of the BCA department on 1st September, 2016.The lecture was guided by, Mr.Inacio Fernandes, Sr.Software Engineer,CGI,Mumbai and a member of GITP(Goa IT Professionals)
Ms. Siddhi Bhandankar was the compere for the function. Dr. Manasvi Kamat, Principal of Goa Multi-Faculty College, welcomed the guest and addressed the gathering. Mr.Sameer Patil introduced the guest to the audience.
Mr. Inacio initiated his lecture session with the opportunities for the IT graduates after completing graduation. He emphasised that the graduates should focus more on being an entrepreneur to overcome the problem of unemployment with respect to IT in goa.Mr.Inacio interacted with students and discussed the various difficulties that could be considered in starting a business in the field of IT. It was an enlightening session as he shared the real life experiences in overcoming the hindrances in being an entrepreneur. The lecture was proven to be very inspiring, motivating and informative for the students. The session was concluded by a vote of thanks given by Ms.Rekha Paranjape, final year BCA student.
