The Chairman of Sateri Pissani Education Society, Shri. Ganesh Gaoankar, was bestowed with the ‘Bharat Vidya Ratan Award’ by the International Business Council at New Delhi for his outstanding contribution to the field of education. Over the last few years, Shri. Ganesh Gaonkar has worked tirelessly to increase and improve access to quality education available to learners from a socio-economically disadvantaged background.

Dr. Shaikh Mohammad Parvez AI-Usmani, Principal of Goa Multi-faculty College, Dharbandora, Goa, was conferred with the Fellowship of Academy of Environmental Biology (AEB) for his contribution to environmental issues and his continuing commitment to pursue further learning and understanding in this field. He received this honour at the hands of Prof. M. L. B. Bhatt, Vice Chancellor of King George Medical University, Lucknow, during the two-day conference on ‘One Health & Ecosystem Services (OHES-2019) held recently at Lucknow.
