A talk on Entrepreneurship Development

A talk was organised on Entrepreneurship Development under initiative of “Corporate Social Responsibility” by Business Networking International group on 21-10-2022

The Business Networking International (BNI) group of India, under the initiative of “Corporate Social Responsibility,” organized a talk for Third-Year students of SPES’s Goa Multi-Faculty College in the “Future Leader Week” from 17th Oct to 21st Oct. The BNI group in charge, Ms. Flory Gracias, showed a keen interest in organizing this event. The Teacher-Incharge of  B.Com, BBA, and BCA departments prepared and managed the event for Third-year students across all three streams.

Ms. Nilaxi Chari, the Teacher In-Charge of the BCA department, introduced all the esteemed guest speakers from BNI. At the event’s commencement, the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Shaikh Mohammad Parvez Al-Usmani addressed the gathering and shared the importance of being self-reliant, self-sustainable, and self-motivated to have their start-up. He added that after graduation, students look for a government or private job, but why do not they think of having their start-up with the help of an entrepreneur?

Ms. Salzina Fernandes, Financial Doctor by profession, is a Certified Financial Planner, and she owns a firm, “SANSAL FINANCIAL SERVICES” in Margao. She shared her experience of being a successful women entrepreneur in the market.

Mr. Aftab Mohammed, CEO of Nuste.in, shared his success story of being an entrepreneur at the age of 20. He guided the students to achieve their goals within the limited resources. He mentioned that he suffered a massive loss at the time of Corona, but with his dedication and hard work, he managed to sail through the pandemic.

Mr. Tanvir Shirodkar also shared his good and bad experience working under different management. Finally, Ms. Flory Fernandes, e-Gracias, owner of Nick Associates, shared her understanding of the market and told the students to try to find out what is in demand in the market and try to supply them.

Mr. Neelesh Morajkar proposed a vote of thanks. The event concluded at 2.00 pm.
