The third edition of Prime Minister’s interaction programme with school students ‘Pariksha pe charcha 2020’was held at Talkatora, Indoor stadium at New Delhi on 20th January 2020. Here are some of the key highlights where PM Modi enlightened students with his valuable tips to ensure that they take up the upcoming board and entrance exams in a relaxed manner.
- Every failure a step towards success: Responding to a question by a student how to lift mood while preparing for a board exam, PM Modi said, motivation and demotivation are very common in life. Everyone goes through these feelings. In this regards he shared his experience of visit to ISRO during Chandrayaan 2. He added that “A temporary setback doesn’t mean success is not waiting. In fact a setback may mean the best is yet to come’’.
- Marks are not life anymore: Responding to the query of a student who wanted to know how much attention one should pay to score goods marks in exams’. PM Modi said that we must rise above exams and we can move ahead in life with more options. He said that “The marks are not life anymore, neither is examination”. These are just steps towards success. He urged to the parents not to tell children that exams are everything.”
- Extra-curricular activities needn’t be glamour driven: Responding to the questions on the importance of extra-curricular activities, PM Modi said,” students should devote time every day to pursue an extra – curricular activity’. Not pursuing extra-curricular activities can make a person like a robot. He said that let the child pursue what he or she likes.
- Don’t allow technology to take control of lives: In response to question about the importance of technology, PM Modi said that students should look at technology as a friend even he cautioned them against allowing technology to take control of their lives or against getting addicted to technology.
This programme is a unique initiative taken to ensure that the maximum students take exams in a relaxed atmosphere and do not come under stress and ensure better results in the long run. It took place in a manner of very extensive discussion and insightful conversation on a wide range of subjects relating to examinations, especially how to remain happy as well as stress free during exam season.
The students of S.P.E.S’s Goa Multi-Faculty College, Dharbandora – Goa, were privileged to have this live telecast on ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020’ in the college premises from 11.00 a.m. onwards. Around 50 students and staff members watched the live telecast arranged by the college.
On this Occasion Principal Dr. Shaikh Mohammad Parvez Al- Usmani, addressed students & urged them to watch the live interaction ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020” . The Principal also enlightened them to adopt a smart and innovative approach for developing regular study practices, which can add fuel to their knowledge and wisdom. He added that for an all-round holistic development one needs to always upgrade oneself and cultivate inquisitive mind to be well prepared for the challenging and competitive world and also one should be wise enough to make maximum utilisation of resources of knowledge available and try to reap the assured benefits from it. He also motivated the students to implement the various suggestions, advice and valuable tips offered by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi regarding peer and exam pressure and how to lead a positive approach towards any failure and strive for betterment in future in their daily life.
