Code of Conduct

  1. Smoking, chewing tobacco products, consumption drugs and liquor are strictly prohibited in the college campus, college bus and at all such places where the students officially represents him/herself on behalf of the college.
  2. Students are not permitted to use mobile phones without the permission of concerned teacher during the lecture hours. Listening to music, texting messages, fiddling with mobile phones, use of chewing gums or any eatables during class hours or during guest lecturers is strictly not allowed.
  3. Students must wear their Identity Cards at all times, while in the College premises. Students coming to College by two-wheelers are required to wear helmets and have helmet locks on their vehicles.
  4. All students must be regular and punctual for lectures, practical, tests and examinations with proper dressing and haircut. Students should arrive to college on time. Students are not permitted to leave the class / college without the permission of Class teacher / Principal respectively.
  5. Students are not allowed to litter at the campus and college bus, during the class hours.No students should be in the Canteen or in the Corridors during lecture hours. Loitering on the campus is strictly disallowed.
  6. Minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory in the class including that for guest lectures / practical / seminars / workshops. Students not fulfilling such will be dealt as per Goa University Rules. No student shall remain absent from lectures, practical, tests and examinations without the prior permission of the Principal. Attendance for Guest Lectures, Workshops, Seminars, and Conferences is compulsory for all the students, and no absence is permitted without prior intimation.
  7. Students must abide by the norms of decorum and respect towards members of the staff and fellow students. Students have to be courteous and respectful to teaching and non-teaching staff at all times. Students should not indulge in any arguments or loose-talks with teaching and non-teaching staff.
  8. Utmost care should be taken to ensure that there is no danger or damage to College property.
  9. Students should be appropriately and modestly dressed. Uniform is a must duringPresentations and Guest lecture session. Students representing college in Competitions, Field Visit etc. should be in proper Uniform along with ID Card etc.
  10. It is obligatory on the part of students to read the College Notice Boards and to take note of announcements that are put up from time to time.
  11. No outsider should be invited to attend classes, functions and programs of the College without the prior permission of the Principal.
  12. Any slang language / vulgarity / obscene /racial / castesist /abusive comments within the campus will not be tolerated. No students are allowed to post on Facebook/Social Media any issue concerning fellow students, teachers or college, in nature of complaints, discontent, abuse or ill-feeling.
  13. Hair colouring and funky styling is not allowed in the campus.
  14. Copying, Cheating in any exams is strictly prohibited and will be dealt as per Goa University Rules.Ragging is strictly banned in the college.Any Rules and Regulations, in addition to the above, notified separately from time to time by way of circulars and / or notices will be binding on the students.
  15. In case if students are having complaint with any issue, only written complaints will be entertained. Individual complaints if any, should be discussed with mentors and then Mentors shall discuss it with principal. If students are having some urgent complaints, then they should mail it to the Principal on manasvikamat@gmail.com . No group representations on any matters will be entertained. Only CR should represent the common issues and problems of the class, on their behalf.
  16. If students are found violating the above rules repeatedly, and/or on the receipt of the Report from the Mentor; the case of mis-conduct will be forwarded to the Disciplinary Committee and subsequently to the Principal for suitable action which may lead to Suspension and/or Termination of admission and/or Denial of Admission in the subsequent academic year.
