To unleash its vision of Competency Building and Continuous Professional Development, BBA Department of Goa Multi Faculty College organized a 1 hr Session on 1st July 2016 from 2.30 to 3.30 pm in the college premises for FYBBA students.
Department invited Mr. John Silveira, Certified International Trainer State Co-ordinator- National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) as a Resource person to address the students on various career opportunities available in the field of management. His experience in the field of training was clearly evident during the course of his interactions with the students. He simplified the topic by conveying his inputs through interactive approach rather than pure lecturing.
As rightly said, First Impression is the Last Impression; in the beginning itself he gained the confidence of students and managed to create lasting impression by starting off with examples and activities. He skillfully explained them the Importance of Management in today’s times, outlined the range of opportunities available for BBA students. He however, emphasized more on the skills they need to develop as a BBA student. He placed due emphasis on communication skills, confidence, grooming, poise, body language and so on. With demonstrations he explained how one should stand, talk etc.
It was indeed a power packed session with a perfect blend of learning as well as fun; wherein every story, every example had some underlying message to connote. Session was an enlightening and enriching experience for students and all enjoyed it to the core. Program ended with Vote of Thanks by Ms. Sonam Gondlekar. Program was organized by Mr. Eknath Shirodkar, Ms. Sonam Gondlekar and Mr. Kaustubh Kamat.
