The students of SY BBA attended a One Day State Level Symposium on “Post Budget Analysis” organised by the Department of Commerce of Fr. Agnel College of Arts and Commerce, Pillar on 9th March, 2016
Four students participated in the symposium, namely Mr.Artish Naik, Ms.Anuradha Gaunekar, Ms.Clency Mascarenhas and Mr.Nikhil Sangaonkar. The faculties the students were accompanied by were Asst. Professors, Mr.Eknath Shirodkar and Ms.Sushmeeta Vasta
The programme started with the Inaugural Function, where in the Chief Guest and the key note Speaker, Mr. D. Kumar Pillai gave an overview of the budget.
It was followed by a tea Break and then the next technical Session begun at 10.45am. The Resource person for the session was Dr. Manoj Kamat who gave insights into “Budget Allocation and Analysis”.
For the next technical Session which begun at 11.45am, the resource person was Dr. Subramanya Bhatt. The session was on the topic “Direct Taxes-with special reference to salaried Employees”.
Post lunch technical session was engaged by CA. Mr.Parimal Kulkarni on the topic “Indirect taxes”.
The One day Symposium on post budget analysis ended with the Valedictory Function at 3.30pm.
