To facilitate the student’s understanding of managing working capital, Finance Club of the college organized a session for FYBBA students on 26th March 2016. The Club invited Mr. Roshan Salgaonkar, Chartered Accountants to address students on the topic “Management of Working Capital”. His industry experience was getting reflected as he conversed with students.
He briefed the students on the concept of Capital, differentiated between types of Working capital and discussed in detail its classification on the basis of time and concept. Further he spoke on importance of maintaining adequate level if working capital and outlined factors determining working capital requirement. Lastly he imparted some valuable inputs to students on varied methods which could be employed for doing working capital analysis and discussed the working capital cycle and explained its individual components.
It was indeed a power packed program followed by an intensive Question Answer session, wherein students willingly got all their doubts and concerns clarified from the Resource Person. Program was an enlightening and enriching experience for students and all enjoyed it to the core. Program ended with Vote of Thanks by Mr. Eknath Shirodkar, Convener of Finance Club.
