The inter college chess was organised by the Goa University on 6th and 7th August 2019 at the Jubilee Hall, Goa University. Goa Multi Faculty College participated in the championship. The team was selected for the same after conducting a selection come coaching process of 2 weeks at the college campus. A total of 15 students reported for the sessions. Out of the 15 the college team of 6 players were selected. The college team consisted of the following members: Supresh Naik (SYBBA), Vipul Khanderparkar (TYBBA), Naveen Naik (SYBBA), Pintokumar Kewat (TYBBA), Siddesh Sawant (TYBCA) and Ansari Saiklain Mustaq (FYBBA).
In the first round against Dhempe College, the college team lost all four matches. In round 2 against Fr Agnel College, we won 3 matches and lost 1. In the third round against St Xaviers college we lost 3 matches and won 1 match. In round 4 against Don Bosco College Panaji the college team won 2 and lost 2 matches. In round 5, all the players lost against the players from MES College. In the 6th round against GCQ All the players won their match. Overall the students performed well. It was a satisfactory performance by the team. The Goa Multi Faculty team finished 30th out of 42 colleges participating.
