Staff members of S.P.E.S’s Goa Multi-Faculty College and staff members of Govt. High School, Dayanandnagar, Dharbandora, Goa, assembled together on Saturday, 15th August 2020 at 8:15 a.m. to pay obeisance to the Indian National Flag on the occasion of Independence Day. Care was taken to adhere to social distancing protocols.
The Principal of Goa Multi-Faculty College, Dr. Shaikh Mohammad Parvez Al- Usmani teamed together with Smt. Namrata Gaonkar, Headmistress of Govt. High School, Dayanandnagar, Dharbandora, to lead the customary flag hoisting ceremony followed by singing of the National Anthem and chanting of customary slogans. The Principal of GMFC reminded everyone about the importance of the day and proceeded to stress on the need to remain optimistic even in these trying
times when teachers are being called to develop alternative strategies of teaching via online platforms. He also briefly touched upon the problems that could be encountered by students as teaching moves online and emphasised the need to accommodate every student as much as possible.
