BCA department of Goa Multi-Faculty College, Organized a talk on effective blogging for all the FYBCA students.
The resource person for the said talk was by Mr. Lisvan Rodrigues , Assistant Professor, Department of Journalism, St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa.
He gave brief Introduction to the Concept of Blogging, Basics of Content Writing, SEO ,Affiliate Marketing, usage and demonstration of WordPress v/s Blogspot.
He was assisted and accompanied by two of his present students one of them is pursuing Masters in English Literature and one of the student Mr. Akhil who is currently pursuing Bachelors in Journalism and who are writing blogs as a part of their semester assesment and evaluation. Mr. Akhil shared their practical exposure, experience and interests in blogging. He spoke on what are his interest areas and what could be the possible fields which could be the major highlight of blogging. He has begun grabbing attention of the viewers by their effective blogs and posts and started attracting advertisements on their blogs.
Prof. Rodrigues also shared his own blogging experience and affiliate marketing concept that he has adopted for his additional income.He emphasized on the skills of content writing , tips for writing your first blog in fun , innovative and interesting way. He also gave demonstration on how to initiate with blogging with the help of fun videos which made the session more informative and interesting.He highlighted on the basic tips for finding out area of interest and focussing on grabbing and attracting readers and viewers by narrative and engrossing blogs.
He interacted with the students at a personal level and attended the questions and queries raised by students and gave them satisfactory answers. It was a very interactive and resourceful session.
