On Saturday 08-02-2020 Dr. Jyoti D. Pawar, SBSI 2019-20 Nodal Officer, Goa University, Dr. Rajendra Gad, Professor, Department of Electronics, Goa University and Shri Kishore M. Shah, Managing Trustee of GDP organized Swachh Bharat Student Internship(SBSI), training & orientation workshops for the Interns of S.P.E.S’s Goa Multi-Faculty College students at College premises.
Swachh Bharat Student Internship (SBSI) is offered as a 2–credit course at Goa University since last year based on the recommendation made by MHRD. This workshop is initiated by Directorate of All India Survey on Higher Education(D-AISHE), Directorate of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (D-UBA) and GDP Foundation. GDP Foundation through Shri Kishore M. Shah, Managing Trustee of GDP assists in ideation for key aspects, value addition in purpose/vision during internship, streamlining of strategic initiatives, building an aligned structure/system to ensure continuity in the swachhata work being carried out in the villages and on the institute campus. The workshop consists of discussions on Initial Training for Strategic Planning and Implementation, Mid Term Impact Assessment Tips and feedback and Report writing and Work Presentation tips.
The workshop began at 9.30 am in presence of 120 students, Dr. Manasvi Kamat, Associate Professor,addressed the event, followed by floral welcome and the lighting the lamp. Dr. Jyoti D. Pawar introduced Shri Kishore M. Shah, Managing Trustee of GDP Foundation, and the resource person of the day. The session was taken over by the Shri Kishore M. Shah, discussions on Initial Training for Strategic Planning and Implementation till 11.30 am. Tea break was for 15 minutes and further sessions resume at 11.30am beginning with students presentation by BBA students on Reuse of waste Cloth and later session was on Mid Term Impact Assessment Tips and feedback and Report writing and Work Presentation tips followed by students presentation by B.Com Students on their internship topics on swachhata by Shri Kishore M. Shah.
