SSPES’s Goa Multi-Faculty College organized an Industrial Visit for its TYBBA Students on 9th January 2016. This visit to CIBA (Centre for Incubation and Business Acceleration), Verna was arranged through BBA Department with Mr. Kaustubh Kamat, Mr. Eknath Shirodkar and Ms. Sonam Gondlekar as the Coordinators. 54 students of TYBBA Marketing and HR benefited from this visit as they got equipped with enhanced understanding of Entrepreneurship through visit to this Incubation Centre.
This half day long visit started with a session by Mr. Tushar Sawant (Manager-CIBA) on core activities of CIBA and its functioning. He briefed students on business avenues available and also narrated the examples of entrepreneurs who have reached greater heights and evolved as successful entrepreneurs with the aid of CIBA. Following this, students were taken for a round to Incubation Centre, Food Processing Laboratory, Digital Laboratories etc. Students were given a detailed explanation by Mr. Sawant on the operation and functioning of varied machineries. Students were also assured that if they intend to start any business after Graduation than they can initially consult CIBA and make use of their machines for processing their raw material.
After visit, students again assembled in Conference Hall, wherein Mr. Advait Salme (Entrepreneur) conversed with them about his evolution as a Entrepreneur and gave them important insights about his business. Seeing the enthusiasm and interest of the students, he even agreed to offer them Summer Internship in his enterprise.
Overall, visit was indeed a good learning experience and everyone enjoyed it to the core. Students also expressed their desire to have such informative visits more frequently. While proposing Vote of Thanks, Ms. Sonam Gondlekar thanked Dr. Manasvi Kamat (Principal) for providing opportunities to carry out such visits and also to CIBA for their cooperativeness.
