GMFC at Cross Country

The cross country practices for preparing the college started on 6th July 2019 for both Men and Women. There were 10 boys and 8 girls participating in the practice sessions every day. Each day the practice session lasted for 90 minutes to 120 minutes. A practice session of 45 days was conducted to prepare the team. In the build up to the Inter College cross country organised by Goa University the college participated in 3 inter college races conducted by Fr Agnel College, MES College and Rosary College. In the cross country organised by Rosary College the boys team secured 7th position while the girls secured 5th place. In the cross country organised by MES College the boys’ team secured 5th position. In the cross country organised by Fr Agnel College the boys team secured 5th position while girls also secured 5th place. After the training camp the college team was selected. A total of 6 boys and 6 girls were selected to represent the college.

The boys team that took part in the inter college cross country organised by Goa University were represented by Pritam Gaonkar, Siddesh Sawant, Namresh Madkaikar, Sanit Velip, Pankaj Falkar and Gautam Yelgar. All students finished in the top 50 positions.

 

 

 

The women team were represented by Raksha Naik (SYBCA), Shramaksha Naik (SYBCA), Manjiri Malik (FYBCA), Aseeta (FYBCA), Achal Holkar (SYBCom) and Bhagyashree Shelke (FYBCom). All the women finished in top 50 positions.

The boys’ team secured overall 6th position and the girls’ team secured overall 5th position.
