CRICKET REPORT
The inter college Cricket tournament was held at Goa University Football Ground, Taleigao from 2nd March onwards. The students practiced for 7 days to prepare for the tournament. A total of 16 Boys attended the coaching camp out of which 16 boys were selected to represent the college. To prepare for the tournament the students also played practice matches against different colleges. In total the boys played 2 practice matches.
In the first round our college boys faced Dhempe College, Miramar. The team was captained by Mayuresh Khalap of TYBCA. After winning the toss GMFC chose to bowl. The opposition scored 128 runs in 20 overs and gave a target of 129. In reply our team managed a total of 108 runs thereby loosing the match by 20 runs. The boys team also participated in inter college tennis ball cricket tournament organisedc by Zantye College and Goa University, the college team also participated in T-10 organised by V.M Salgaocar College of Law. The college team lost in the first round in all the tournaments. The women team also participated in tennis ball control cricket organized by Borda college. The team lost in the first round against the hosts.
