The Library of S.S.P.E.S’s Goa Multi-Faculty College successfully organized the first BOOK EXHIBITION” in the college premises from 22nd to 23rd January 2019.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Jitendra Naik, Vice-Chairman of the Shree Sateri Pissani Education Society’s in the presence of Mr. Neelesh Morjakar Incharge Principal and BCom Coordinator, Mr. Ajit Faras, College Librarian, Mr. Sandesh Gaonkar, BCA Coordinator, Mr. Praneet Shigonkar, Accountant, Headmistress of Government High School Smt. Namarat Gaonkar and other Teaching and Non-Teaching faculty/staff of the college.
Chief Guest Mr. Jitendra Naik highlighted that books are the best friend of human beings. Knowledge is power which can be only gained by adopting habit of reading good books. Mr. B.V. Iyer. vendor of ‘Bookmate’ showcased around 5000 books of more than 60 prominent publishers from Commerce, Computer Application, Business Administration, Literature, History, Management, Science, Fiction, Current Affairs, Showbiz etc. The exhibition saw an overwhelming response from students and staff of Goa Multi-Faculty College. Individuals from invited schools, higher Secondary, Health Department, villagers also came in large number to attend the Exhibition.
The exhibition was open from 10:00 am to 5.00 pm on both the days mentioned above. The event was organized in order to increase the exposure of students to various avenues of learning; to sow the seed of interest and to enhance their knowledge.
